There are lots of activities taking place around the country today to get you into the mood for Refugee Week.

If you’re in London, you could join the World Refugee Day Umbrella Parade (the parade is on Sunday 19th, World Refugee Day is the next day). It starts at 1.30pm at Victoria Embankment Gardens in Westminster, London.

You could also go along to some of these festivals and events:

~ In Bristol, Celebrating Sanctuary takes place from 1.30pm in Queen Square – BCfm will be there
~ the Ipswich Refugee Week Launch Party is at 2pm at The Manor Ballroom and Social Club in Ipswich. Contact the organisers for tickets.
And there are many more – check the Refugee Week website for details of events in your area.
